An upgrade of the current eVisa system, allowing applicants to apply and pay for a stay extension and/ or re-entry visa online.
A foreigner who is in possession of an entry visa (Business Visa obtained from https://evisa.moip.gov.mm).
A foreigner who has a valid stay permit obtained from eBusiness Visa Stay Extension system can apply for a re-entry visa. Please note that the validity period of the re-entry visa will expire along with the stay expiration date.
An applicant should have the following:
- Passport Photo with the following requirements:
- Taken within the last 3 months
- Clear and in focus, 3.8 cm/1.5 inches wide by 4.6 cm/1.8 inches high
- In colour taken against a plain white background with no shadows
- Full face with shoulders visible, facing forward with eyes open
- Spectacles must be taken off.
- Taken in formal attire
- Neutral facial expression
- Photos copied or digitally scanned from any documents are not acceptable.
- Passport with a remaining validity of at least 6 months
- Scanned copy of the front page from the applicant’s passport
- Scanned copy of a passport page with the most recent Entry Stamp
- An Extension Requisition Letter duly signed by a registered Director of the Company
- Scanned copy of the Company Registration Certificate
- Scanned copy of the Company Extract
- Recommendation from relevant ministry or Recommendation from State/ Region Officer
- Scanned copy of a Form C (Report of Arrival)
- Foreigner Registration Certificate (if any)
- Payment methods such as VISA / MasterCard
Stay Extension for 3/6/12 months and Re-entry Visa for a Single Re-entry or Multiple Re-entry.
Five (5) working days from the acknowledgement of receipt, excluding weekends and Myanmar Gazetted Holidays. You will be notified of the outcome of your application by email. You can use the "status enquiry" function to check on the progress of the application.
Stay Extension
- 62 USD for 3-month extension
- 114 USD for 6-month extension
- 217 USD for 12-month extension
- 72 USD for single entry
- 217 USD for multiple entry
Upon receipt of the approval email, payment must be made online within three (3) days
Payment can be made using Visa or MasterCard credit card.
Applications can be submitted online at https://estay.moip.gov.mm. It is advisable that you go through the information under the “Useful Information” tab.
- Go to https://estay.moip.gov.mm.
- Access ‘apply eStay Extension’ > ‘New Application’.
- Complete an online application by filling in the required information, providing supporting documents and a photo in line with the photo requirements.
- Receive an acknowledgement email.
- Receive the outcome of your application via email.
- Make payment for processing fees online through the payment link contained in the email if your application is approved.
- Receive a payment successful email with the information on how to get your passport affixed with the stickers.
- Get your passport affixed with the relevant stickers at the designated office stated in the email.
You can use the "status enquiry" function to check on the progress of the application at https://estay.moip.gov.mm using the application number, passport number and visa number.
You will receive an email with a payment link to make payment for processing fees. Please note the payment must be made within three (3) days.

Our online application will remind you to check the information as being true and correct prior to submission. Once submitted, you will not be able to make any changes to your application.
You need to make payment only if the application is approved.
